I am interested in the biological functions of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in the nervous system and their roles in inter-individual interactions during aging.
I am responsible for a broad range of laboratory works in the Wu Lab and particularly interested in emerging concepts in spatial aging biology.
Extracellular proteomes change dynamically with age. I aim to characterize the extracellular proteomic profiles of neurons and glia, as well as the intercellular proteomic interactions between them during aging.
The lipid nature of the brain suggests that lipids play an important role in nervous system function and brain aging. I am particularly interested in lipid signaling between neurons and glia, as well as the regulatory mechanisms involved in brain aging.
I am curious about the fundamental biological functions of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in the nervous system, including their release, transport, recognition, uptake, cargo delivery, and the mechanisms by which they mediate intercellular signaling.
